Last Saturday morning, having sated my grotesque sexual appetites by putting on some pants and morosely eating a bowl of Shreddies, I tuned into Sub FM and caught about three hours of Roko's (that's him on the right) four hour spesh. You can check out this thread on dsf for links to the whole show and every one of the twenty six thousand shows he has done before that. The first two hours of the latest show was (to quote Roko himself) ''dubstep'' - those inverted commas mirroring the finger-sign most dubstep heads have to make in the air nowadays when describing what they're into - and was sodding good, but it's part 2 which I've been listening to since, finger placed firmly on the pulse of Berlin's cutting-edge.
That is, if you consider the cutting edge of techno to be located at about a finger's length within an anus, which everybody of course does. Next month, I'll be voyaging with Ewan McGregor, the both of us on BMW motorcycles, 2000 miles inside Richie Hawtin's sphincter, in order to find both myself and Richie Hawtin's head, with which I hope to conduct an interview about what it feels like to have a completely smooth head. I'll also be nailing Jeff Mills to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and seeing if anybody notices the difference.
